Deer In A Day
On this one day course you'll be shown how to skin and butcher a deer in the field, heading home at the end of the course with all of the resulting meat for your freezer.
You'll be shown the main joints and cuts and how to make venison jerky. If you're keen to make use of the whole animal we can also cover the initial scraping of the hide before tanning, remove the sinews for strong bindings, offer advice as to using the hide, bones and antlers for tools, crafts and show you many other uses for those deer by-products.
At the end of the day all your prepared venison will be packaged up to take away and freeze when you get home to feed you and your family for some time afterwards.
The cost of the course covers up to two people plus one whole deer. The cost will increase if you would rather have a deer each or a larger group.

Course starts at 9am and finishes around 5pm. Please bring a packed lunch and your own cool box with ice packs.
