Kev Palmer has been passionate about natural history from a very young age and his outdoor experience started in childhood as he spent most of the time he wasn't at school outside, turning over logs looking for bugs, pond dipping or tracking anything that moved.

With a scientific mind he ended up in a career as a biomedical scientist but the "call of the wild" couldn't be suppressed, and he got back into the wonders of bushcraft and the outdoors by introducing it to his children once they were old enough. This led to a realisation that this is where his heart was and to a complete change in career and as a result Kev has now been working as a Bushcraft Instructor for 17 years.

During this time he has been fortunate enough to have worked with and alongside many established people within the industry and instructed in a range of different countries and environments. Flora and, particularly, fauna still hold a special appeal and is demonstrated through his passion for foraging and tracking.
